Coronavirus Update – July 2020

July 2020 –

Our last public performance was as part of the Petersfield Festival Choir in March 2020 , just before the official “Lockdown”  which commenced a week or so after the event. The audience attendance at the Petersfield Festival Hall was poor because of the public health situation. However the performance of two modern works, Andrew Carter’s Benidicite and Richard Blackford’s Mirror of Perfection, was judged to be, not least by the conductor, Paul Spicer, as very successful.

Sadly, since April we have not been able to sing together. A concert was planned for May this year at Trotton Church. That had to be cancelled.

It is anticipated that we will sing in the Petersfield Festival Choral Concert on the 13th March next year – Haydn’s Mariazeller Mass and Vivaldi’s Dixit Dominus. Our rehearsals for this performance may start this November depending on circumstances.

A social event is planned for lunchtime on Saturday 12th September 2020. Details to be confirmed.

We are sorry that at present we are unable to announce firm proposals and dates for our future activities. Please watch this space.
